I would love to know what Gavin Aung Than was smoking when he drew panels 10, 11, 18, 19, 20 and 21.

I always talk to people on the elevator. Sometimes they talk back, Sometimes they just smile and think I’m nuts.

Why in the world would you want to fit in? That seems to be the most boring concept ever.

No argument with Timothy; much of what he talked about was how LSD could help you therapeutically and open spiritual doors. Some have found it so; others will spend their lives recovering. What he sppouts in the way of the spiritual is a western interpretation of Buddhism and Zen, as with Alan Watts and other popularizers. Just meditate faithfully (make sure you find out how from a good source), and it will come up from within what your best path is. There is no better source than your own Self. Or “soul”, if you prefer that term.

I always provide elevator music on elevators if it isn’t piped in. Around holidays I can sometimes even get sing-a-longs going. What I find funny is that I work in a high school and the students invariably start singing along with me about the second or third time they ride with me.

Best of all, they all get off the elevator with huge grins even if they were scowling when they got on.

It would be irreverent to do Timothy Leary without LSD art.

Is “coincidence” the word we use when we can’t see the levers and pulleys?

There’s a difference between “trying to fit in” and functioning within a context. The former is the suicide of individuality. The latter is making the best of what can’t be avoided while looking for opportunities to improve your life.
