Man: The bad news is all you as didn't get laid off is gonna have to work harder. The good news is it's gonna look good on Wall Street. Punk: Any complaints?
Thanks for a succinct answer to my question. I suspect that’s exactly how many of the laid-off, downsized, or outright fired workers in the current economy feel as well.
Dear Mr. Oilphant: I’ve been a fan of yours since the days when you were at The Denver Post. Happy birthday, sir. May you have many more years of keeping them humorously honest.
Those who escape being “laid off” will get “laid into.”
RSR, Nast was the Granddaddy but I think modern stuff improves on him (“standing on the shoulders of giants”, and all). Trudeau I simply put in a different category. I mostly know Herblock by reputation.
Oliphant is funny, an astute observer, a brilliant cartoonist, and mean as a snake.

The good news is your rations have been doubled. The bad news is the captain wants to water ski.
