My grandparents gave me sister and me one piece of sterling for birthdays and Christmases every year. They were upset because we didn’t go into raptures over each spoon. We liked the gifts and were a lot more grateful as adults than we seemed to be as kids. It’s just hard for a ten-year old to get all excited over a table knife when we’d have just as soon gotten a Barbie.
So, if Joy and Burl started giving Patty one volume a year starting at age, let’s say 5, then she should get her 32nd volume when she celebrates her 37th birthday. Unless they figure out that Patty can learn every thing there is to know from Google and Wikepedia.
hey it was a bad Christmas if I didn’t get at least 3 Hardy Boys mysteries…don’t recall any bad Christmases though…read whole series by time I was 11….then I started on Ellery Queen
