Laika was the first dog sent into space. Russia sent him up and he died in orbit November 3, 1957. Best. Dog. Ever…

That’s true, Stomps, but when has NASA ever sent one? I don’t believe it’s ever happened. Monkeys, spiders, and some other animals (including man) but a dog? I don’t think so.

Well then, it’s about time man’s best friend was sent up to the ISS. Good for astronaut morale and probably pretty funny besides.

I am sure they would train him to use the Space Commode.

If he’s going to the International Space Station to keep the astronauts company and will come back to Earth with them safe and sound, it’s cute. I guess it’s all in how you choose to interpret this comic. ;)

Your comment caused me to look again at the comic. I guess the “funny” is that the dog has his head out the window.

I think one of the comments is by John McPherson’s mother in law.
