Barack Obama: Whether you like the nuclear deal or not, the good news is Iran is finally talking to us.
Iran: Death to America! We will trample you infidel pig dog!
I love how conservatives are so “concerned” that Iranians express hatred towards the US, but utterly ignore the reason and history behind it.Had the US government not deposed the democratically elected government on behalf of the oil companies, then there wouldn’t have been a pro-US puppet for the Iranian militants to overthrow. The US government created its own enemy, something the US government has been very good at during the Cold War.
whatever happened to the USA rule, “we don’t negotiate with terrorists”….? Iran is the #1 terrorist nation, funding and exporting Islamic Jihad to the entire world. Iran’s rule is=“Beheading R Us”
Simply put, the deal is a GOOD deal, and will delay, if not stop, Iran from a weapons program for 10—15 years, wheras with the AIPAC/Netanyahu/GOP “bomb ’em” program, they will have the bomb in two years, or less, if we attack them.
Israel is about 6.5 million people, Iran is over 65 million people, the U.S.S. LIberty proves which will really bring “death to Americans”. It’s long past time to tell the hard liners in Israel to BACK OFF! “J Street” and other real supporters of a PEACEFUL Israel, have MUCH MORE to offer on what should be U.S. Policy in the region.
Because, after all, the most important thing in the world is that the Iranians said something nasty to us. I do declare, where is my fainting couch?Oh, Lindsey’s on it? Never mind.
When you say “We,” Mangey, I assume you mean Israel. Yes, they do, though they won’t admit it. I guess that’s why they warn us about trusting Middle Eastern governments to be honest about such things.
This series of comments makes me wonder once again why so few conservative commentators put forth well-reasoned, factually-based cogent arguments. Most of the independents and so-called “liberals” seem better informed, driven by reasonable assessments, and open to consider things on their merits. The conservatives seem most often to rely on some vague set of rigid ideological conclusions before examining the facts and context of the circumstances.
Again, I have to ask whether the right wing commentators truly believe their positions make sense, or whether they are somehow paid to spout such thoughtless drivel, usually expressed in the form of one-line insults. It is hard for me to believe they hold their opinions based on careful consideration rather than knee jerk response.
I know the conservatives will undoubtedly make the same observation about the non-conservatives, but the evidence for this is simply not there. One of the most telling patterns is the tendency for the conservatives to moan and whine, but seemingly never put forth realistic alternatives. The ACA is a prime example, as is the Iranian deal. Before the conservatives here start whining about this post, why don’t they explain what they would do with the Iranians. And no, bombing them back to the Stone Age is not a realistic alternative.
^I just find it interesting that Iran is the ultimate evil funding terrorism, but the Saudi princes and friends (Wahabbi Sunni) fund far more terrorist activity, and still chop folks’ heads off for minor offenses we wouldn’t even call an offense, are our friends and “good guys”???

Iran can’t see that both them and Obama have their hatred of Israel in common.

Trying to solve geopolitical problems without resorting to war just stirs up the war-mongers! See “Iraq in 2003” for an example.
