Excess of anything might be bad, but you reach the ‘excess’ with a single soda, while it might take a huge lot of carrots to make it ‘excess’, and your taste palate would rebel long before that. The idea is that any sugar that has fiber and protein with it, is digested slowly by the body, allowing it time to absorb it. Sugar that is empty of fiber/protein gets into your blood so much faster, and hence wrecks your body.

They used to run the snake-oil salesmen out of town, but now you can just call it “puffery” and tell pretty much any lie you like…

Those must be the same scientists the oil companies hired to say there is no climate change.

Wabbit: artificial sweeteners ARE worse than sugar, or corn syrup. Went into insulin shock twice because accidentally ingested them. Turns out that the pancreas interprets them as up to 20,000 times the sugar content of an item, and it pumps out insulin like crazy, HYPOglycemia is dangerous and insulin shock will kill you a lot faster than insulin coma.
