It has to be a summation of my school year, a condensation of all I've learned, expressed in less than a cubic foot. It has to be perfect. Alice: You're blocked, aren't you? Petey: How can I hope to fill this vast, yawning abyss?

I used a shoebox for something unusual this week. A lttle gecko from the garden somehow got inside (garage or patio door). I know how fast they run, so I used a shoebox to catch it so I could put it back in the garden ;-)

I was thinking along your lines, Scio. Not as a demonstration that Petey’s learned nothing, but as an expression of the inexpressible.
To put the cherry on top, Petey ought to replace the lid of the box, seal it securely, and tell the teacher that undoing the seal would be a betrayal of the concept.
