The NSA is the Wizard of Oz hiding behind a curtain and controlling the National Security Machine. Toto pulls back the curtain. NSA? Excuse me, ever hear of privacy?...
We probably can never spend enough to stop the nut cases. They are almost by definition an abnormality. Perhaps we need to become a kinder and gentler society?
and of course some abnormality always has to slip in some Obama bashing even if it isn’t relevant. I guess it is like that in Congress too.
Obama deserves to be criticized for this. Not just Obama, of course, but he shouldn’t get a pass. It’s bad and gets worse. He should be putting a stop to it, not asking for an extension.
Has Obama finally learned the lesson that if he shows he is in favor of an issue, it will fail in congress? And knowing this is he changing his strategy?
That is true, and have as many republicans in congress. The hate big government, Snirk< but they do love to meddle in who loves who, and the whole abortion issue.
The patriot act needs to be retired in it’s toallity. The blame Obama is everything to some people. it would be laughable if it weren’t so hurtful.
Anyone stop to consider the mentality of American publics who keep the paparazzi in wealth, or watch all the phony “reality” TV that spies on folks thoughts and actions, and demands to know EVERTHING about not just personal lives, but actual secrets related to actual national security?
We ARE a nation of snoops and busybodies, and I think folks like Obama fall into that trap, from ALL parites. The more dangerous ones are mostly “conservatives” who aren’t just nosy, they want war, and rule, and will make up the rules, and rationales, and lies, as they go along.

There is nothing good to be said about a government that spies on its own people.

To answer the comics man’s question….Yeah, we used to have it. Now, it’s less and less every day.

I find it humorous that an anti-abortion absolutist like Rand Paul is so concerned about privacy and getting the government off people’s backs.

The question as old as government; “Sed quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”
