It would be really nice to find a candidate who’s main concern is helping to fix the many problems this country faces. We are falling behind in many areas. It won’t be long before all we will have is our arrogance.
Having a good number of candidates for the job is democracy at work. Having only one candidate is a coronation, not democracy at work. Democrats are doing them selves and the country a disservice. Democrats shame on you, demand more and better.
That does it. I’m declaring my candidacy today! If elected, I will lower taxes on the rich. vote for the interests and policies of those who financially supported me the most and dismantle the military to rake in a peace dividend for my pork barrel projects.
ChevJames007: just a simple question as you persist in your line: have you ever heard of “Iran/Contra” or “Watergate”?? Any of the current Republican “candidates” will just mean 99% of Americans will again be taking a bath, to fund the perfume for the 1%.
The clown car really gives meaning to the phrase ‘embarrassment of riches’.
Only the ones with their own billionaire(s) have a chance and not all of those.
The rest are running as an efficient fundraiser. Or for vice president.
One of the funny things about Republicans is how they’re all against, you know, welfare and government interference and for the free market and all.
And then they get to elections in farm states and farm subsidies are sacred. Crucial to preservation of Family Farms like ConArga, Archer Daniels Midland and the rest.
And Republicans/Fox “news” viewers see no inconsistencies. Zero.
Back when I was unemployed, I was a member of a job networking group. We would introduce ourselves, tell the group what kind of a job we were looking for and practice our 30-second elevator speech.
If I had to do it today, I’d say that I was running for President as a republican. Why not, everyone else is.
