“Giustra took specific aim at a report this week in the New York Times that suggested his contributions to the Clinton Foundation were aimed at gaining the blessing of the State Department — then about to be headed by Hillary Clinton — for a lucrative uranium deal involving Russian and Kazakh interests.“There is not one shred of evidence to back up the Times’ conclusions,” Giustra wrote. “This is not about me, but rather an attempt to tear down Secretary Clinton and her presidential campaign. If this is what passes for investigative journalism in the United States, it is very sad.”“I sold all of my stakes in the uranium company — Uranium One — in the fall of 2007, after it merged with another company,” Giustra said. “I would note that those were sold at least 18 months before Hillary Clinton became the Secretary of State. No one was speculating at that time that she would become the Secretary of State.” He called the Times report “a wildly speculative, innuendo-laced article.”
http://www.ibtimes.com/top-clinton-foundation-donor-says-his-money-had-nothing-do-support-colombian-trade-1895948The New York Times get information from a Republican operative who is selling a book and supposedly verifies the fact but fails to interview the donor or get the other side of the story. Past the smell test? I doubt any politicians are quote clean as big money and lobbyist have easy access. It is not as if lobbyist does not write legislation or portions of legislation. The whole non-profit thing is way out of control especially with politician foundations and political advocacy groups.
the problem dear wiseorator is liberals/democrat "reality " never took place // yes bush made mistakes but what some claim are bho mistakes are not // those action are meant to destroy USA exceptionalism
“Such hyperbola. Also not all Democrats….”.You are both right and wrong. Hillary successfully defended a child rapist and most Democrats still support her even after finding this out….…though certainly not ALL Democrats.
This was in 1975, things were quite different then, and it was H Clinton’s first case. She did as she was taught to do. Things have changed, now we have Conservatives claiming women’s bodies can shutdown a pregnancy if caused by rape, as well as many other absurd notions. http://www.bathshebas.net/articles/12As to your claim, yes at that time (and now) that was part of a vigorous defense. Unfortunately, after reading some of the current news, things have not changed very much.
And don’t make claims about Republicans being out of office several years not relating to current events in future posts, as you are using decades old information.

‘Toon reminds me of what our neighbors in Rome used to tell us as we agonized over the Watergate scandal…."Of course he’s crooked! He’s a politician!"

Fortunately, the bags all turn out to be full of hot air, making the plane, in fact, lighter.
