Silly Dumb Crook! How can he give you donuts with his hand up like that? (Oh; P.S. There’s a long line of cops waiting behind you, too!)

I think he needs to be more afraid of Broomie. If she doesn’t get her donut soon - ZAPPP!

Yukoner, I was thinking the same thing. The last crook that crossed her path became a quarter pounder.

I saw a news item once about a thug who attempted to hold up a crowded bar, not realizing it was the after-hours hangout for the local cops.

As cops sometimes say, “We don’t catch the smart ones.”

When I was on the force, a guy came up to me (while I was in the patrol car) asking if he could borrow my handgun. I asked him why and his reply was that he wanted to rob the convenience store I had just bought my lunch from and was sitting out side of at the time. Take a guess where he spent the next several days….. yup, some of these folks are really, really dumb.

I wonder why 9-5 doesn’t appeal but 5-9 does. “Appeal”, ha ha, I could make a joke.

Cops like gun shops. Some idiot tried to hold one up that was fulll of off duty cops in civvies but with off-duty guns. He won’t ever try that again.

this reminds me of when my youngest son was 6 or7, we went to a local donut shop and as we were getting in line there was a town cop and a county sheriff in line ahead of us,

my little guy said, “go figure, a cop in a donut shop”

It was all those two could do to keep a straight face

The crook? One to many donut holes in the head! The cops? One to many donuts in the gut!

In Los Angeles, the dumbest crook was the one who tried to hold up a gunshop in the middle of the day. All the clerks were wearing sidearms and a couple of the customers were cops. The crook didn’t stand a chance.

The unluckiest crook was the one who decided to hold up the attendees of a conference at one of the large hotels. Unfortunately, the crook didn’t notice the lobby signs welcoming the Association of Police Chiefs to their conference.

This reminds me of a scene in a DiscWorld book where some crooks not only try to hold up the City Watch’s favourite bar, they try to escape by taking a werewolf hostage.

This is very similar to the opening of the 1st Police Squad movie with Leslie Neilson. The donut shop was filled with police that all drew their weapons. Nobody wanted to make the arrest and book the perp because they didn’t want to do the paperwork.

I remember seeing something like this on the show “World’s Wildest Police Videos” where a crook tried to rob a convenience store witih a knife right in front of a police officer. The police officer pointed his gun at the crook and told him to get on the floor. When the crook said “It was just a mistake.”, the police officer said “You move, buddy, and you will be making a mistake.” The store owner had phoned 911 and more police officers showed up, the police officer with the crook laying down in front of him, casually waved them inside and asked if anyone had cuffs. One replied they did and the crook was off to jail.
