Capitalist, communist — it doesn’t matter as long as she has the cash.

Yeah, those economists are all great comedians. That’s why economics is called ‘the dismal science’. (And if economics is a science, so is reading tea leaves…)

There’s plenty of abuse of power in the capitalist US without needing to condemn communists. We have a surprising lack of freedoms these days and they keep disappearing.

“Under capitalism, man exploits man. Under communism, it’s just the opposite.”That’s the only thing I’ve laughed out loud at today. Good show, Richard and Ken!

That’s right senior, they’re just as greedy behind that “for the good of the masses” crap. Be up front, steal in public like we do. Ask German, Russia, China, Japan, Cuba to unload those off shore accounts to the population.

“(Unbridled) Capitalism doesn’t work, either. It just takes longer to fall apart.”.Please note you had to add the word “unbridled”. All forms of society require some restrictions on the thoughtless and bullies..“Besides, there is no good reason to keep the poor and under-privileged from sharing in the benefits of civilization.”.And here you assume only the richest benefit despite the benefits that you obviously enjoy.

Night-Gaunt49“The way they were using Communism only a few were wealthy, but everyone wasn’t allowed to go into poverty.”.Actually, many were relatively wealthy administering the bosses wishes even though most of them were poorer than many we consider poor. They also had a thriving criminal enterprise of a black market to meet the needs their system failed to address because they weren’t in the FIVE YEAR PLAN. Poverty created by inflexibility..“Now with Capitalism only a few are wealthy and the no safety net for the impoverished!”.More are doing better despite the fact they are still under a form of dictatorship. Whether or not to provide a social safety net and how much of what kind is a governmental decision. Under Communism and other dictatorships, the most powerful tended to seek quality medical care elsewhere..I still remember one lady telling me, “Under Allende, everybody got much money. Don’t mean nothing. Can’t buy nothing. I wait in line hours to buy one chicken. Scrawny chicken. Gotta do it. Got two daughters. Got to eat.”.Others were similar.

@QuiteDragon“Notice what I wrote? Hello, I wrote it. I noticed that you are seeming to take credit for it.”.Nope, but I had pointed out that they switched to capitalism because communism didn’t work and you claimed capitalism of a particular kind didn’t work when I had never written of such kind. Obviously capitalism as practiced by the Chinese communist party is working since the Chinese people are better off than they were...“And here you assume only the richest benefit despite the benefits that you obviously enjoy.”“Not at all. I just think 1% don’t need (and likely don’t deserve) 50% of the wealth.”.You wrote; “Besides, there is no good reason to keep the poor and under-privileged from sharing in the benefits of civilization.”.At that point, you were saying they weren’t sharing in the benefits.

Now you pretend that you didn’t claim they weren’t sharing but their share was too small.I can see what a wonderful judge you would make..What’s wrong with the truth?Give it a try.
