We all are of the same generation TV and mr and mrs POTATOHEAD had children in their family pack, pretty soon it won’t be real or even spoken of or understood without an AD MAN. and if it didn’t have a retail shelf to begin it’s fifteen minutes….. see what I mean.

Mr Potato Head reminds me of another famous Vice President who’s know for spelling: “P-O-T-A-T-O-E”. Maybe it’s a “Republican Thing” to nominate a pretty face for VP to make their presidential candidate more attractive.

Naw, Jehosaphat - you guys stuffed in the supposedly gorgeous John Edwards, and the supposedly intelligent Al Gore. Recall of Gore that Dan Quayle, George W. Bush and Ross Perot all smoked him in debates.

Just in time for Toy Story 3? How can a good man like BD be so wacko for the wacky ex-governor? At least he should look to some other prominent female for inspiration (Rice, Bachmann, etc…)

fbjsr, Speaking of spelling: It’s “you’re” (contraction of “you are”) at a spelling bee, not “your” (possessive of you) at a spelling bee.

fbjsr, there is more than one judge at those things. You confer with the other judges to verify that the card is wrong, and judge the kid on the correct spelling.

Is this Toy Story 4, the car ad with the living toys or a comment on the Toyota-like political crash that’s coming for the lady yet again?

And we’ll hear about this at the next rally in a soundbite on every media outlet that keeps her hopes alive while thinking they are killing her off.

Perhaps we will come to agreement that as long as we follow the rules, our country can survive any top office holder. Some say George was disaster, but we’re intact after his eight. Two and half from now, we probably will be intact after Barack. Why wouldn’t that be true after Sarah? It tickles me how scared some people, even those with drawing pens, are of Sarah. Some are frightened by monsters, whether they are real or perceived.

Palin was just speaking in Eugene, Oregon. No cameras, no recording devices, no press. Just the faithful who paid to hear her speak.

Someone who is so afraid of being held to account for their own words is a long way from the skill set required to lead a government.

Isn’t it the same “right-wing” media that was persecuting Clinton AND gave Bush a free ride on WMDs in Iraq? Did it change in 2008, too? I bet that’s news to them.

Hmm, the current VP has a terminal case of foot in mouth disease, accompanied by head up his azz disease, and is dumber than a fence post - yet all we can talk about is Sarah Palin (who by the way is doing just fine after resigning as Governor, laughing all the way to the bank while making millions the American way), and a long past VP who didn’t know a word was misspelled on a card.

Was Trudeau born clueless, or did he evolve that way?

intact? bush left office with the nation in a shambles, leaving his successor to clean up a nearly impossible mess. intact is not the word i’d choose to describe the bush legacy. faint praise indeed.

It wasn’t exactly a wrong spelling, just archaic. I like my spelling with a little colour. We need a funny VP again. Maybe Biden will bring back a native fertility idol from one of his journeys. Or shoot somebody.

Oh, my…all this blather about a former VP who got nailed to the wall by the media…and their pathetic followers, down through the years…because of a mistake on his card…and the slobber like bleating sheep over a president who thinks there are 57 states in the good ole USA. Just happens there ARE 57 Muslim countries…cooincidence? I think not.

Don’t know if GT can do justice to her “shrillness” factor.

philboydjr – we’re “intact” are we? – let’s ask some of the folks who have lost their homes and everything in them how “intact” they are. We could follow that by asking folks who have lost their jobs, healthcare, pensions and all hopes for the future how “intact” they are. Then we could ask those who have lost their kids because they are living on the streets and can’t provide a roof, healthcare, education, and future how “intact” they are. Get real!! And maybe if you were one of those folks, it would be more real to you.

    stebon,

    Loosen up.

I’m a Socialist and more conservative than you will ever be.

Save when you can, borrow when you must, but not more than you can afford to pay back.

That’s why the People’s Republic of China just loves us. We’ll be in debt to them forever.

Now about Sarah Palin; she is just so cute. She’ll be with us forever too.

Again, measure history. There were foreclosures, jobless, homeless, welfare families and many other problems before Bush. What I was hoping some would see is the long view. Such a view that has allowed our system to survive 200+ years without violent upheaval. The phrase “this too shall pass” applies. And, then, call me cold-hearted if you wish, but much of the foreclosure mess belongs at the door of the buyers. They bought irresponsibly, conveniently ignoring trends and budgetary advice that ties your payment capability to your income. No matter how “good the deal” one cannot “buy” more house than they can afford. It is too convenient to blame all our country’s problems on one man. But those who do need a straw man. Perhaps they’ll think for themselves one day.
