Another group of innocent people Barry sacrificed just so he could brag about having NO troops in Iraq despite warnings from almost every General and military expert. They all said to leave a small stabalizing force.

Let’s remember that The Decider and The Dick were not even aware that there were different sects in Iraq when they decided it would be a good idea to invade.

The gift that keeps on giving….

And, by the bye: The U.S.–Iraq Status of Forces Agreement (official name: Agreement Between the United States of America and the Republic of Iraq On the Withdrawal of United States Forces from Iraq and the Organization of Their Activities during Their Temporary Presence in Iraq) was a status of forces agreement (SOFA) between Iraq and the United States, signed by President George W. Bush in 2008. It established that U.S. combat forces would withdraw from Iraqi cities by June 30, 2009, and all U.S. forces will be completely out of Iraq by December 31, 2011…sorta out of Obama’s hands, and the elected(?) Iraqi government refused to allow US forces to remain when Mr. Obama proffered the suggestion.

From Politifact:“We think the spirit of Beck’s claim is largely accurate, that the threat of Barbary corsairs — or as Beck accurately calls them, Islamic pirates — inspired Congress to move toward re-establishing a Marine Corps. It turned out that a conflict with France actually kicked that proposal into gear, and Beck named the wrong president (though he was only off by one administration). And so we give his statement a Half True.”

Syria lost a lot of territory to ISIS in the middle of a civil war. Iraq, meanwhile, appears to have set up its military as the following: 20% cowards60% incompetents20% traitors

None of the comments seemed to have a clue what the cartoon was about, even with the hints Mr Wuerker gave..Just as Vietnam was split before ‘73, the Yemen was split into a US-leaning part and a USSR-leaning part. After the US won the Cold War, the two halves reunited. Not everyone is happy with the government. The Houthis are Shi’a and recently took over the capital. The President? (ex-President? former President?) relocated to a city in the South of the Yemen where he’s issuing presidential proclamations..Saudi is furious, and blames the US. Being Shi’a, Saudi figures Iran must have helped the Houthi, and it’s all the US’s fault for not nuking Iran.

Matt’s ’toon reminds me of a poster I saw in the ’sixties, about Life in general;“Just when I finally learned how to play the game, they changed all the rules!”

I can almost guarantee you, without an advisor or four present he STILL doesn’t know the difference between a Yazedi and an Ossetian.
