Jim should be harmless now… He can’t lay a finger on her.

She will have to slide down this shaft so she can find Holly, take her to the fight so Wally will see her in the audience. Then he will come out of his funk as he’s being pummeled and finish the fight Wally style.

Let’s hope Holly isn’t one of those people, like me, who ignore someone who gets their name wrong…

This is where sheer ditsyness meets pure insanity…which could prove interesting. I’m wondering if Kirbee’s ditsyness will provide some immunity to Jim’s madness, and it looks like I’m going to find out…

I wonder if, maybe, Jim might’ve recovered from his little fit of violent insanity…maybe the shock of being gassed could’ve kicked him back to his relative state of normality—-I mean he’s still upset over losing Sarah but he’s not going around claiming to be God—-and might be there with Holly and Chick and Irving bandaging up his wounds…By the way, is that “bloody rag” Holly’s apron?

This may lead to the question of how protective Kirbee’s ditzy innocence really is. She really seems to believe that her fellow “reptilians” are mostly good people who wouldn’t even kill a nonreptilian without good cause. I imagine Jim will say something that challenges that. The question is will he drive Kirbee into a funk by convincing her that her colony is not all she thinks it is? Will she just refuse to believe him? Will she just decide that she’s going to survive and do what is right? I don’t know if this is where we’re heading, but it would be an interesting confrontation.

Sure am enjoying how annoyingly actionless this last week or two has been.

Well if we follow the previous strips, it cannot be Jim she see’s because SHE put up the ladder and then went straight to the chute. Unless Jim now has super powers?

Should we take the last panel POV at face-value? Is whatever-it-is tall enough to look Kirbee in the eye? Has the Jim-thing discorporated into any inky shapeshifting thing?

Today’s strip is one where the art truly blows me away. Aaron’s use of shadow and grayscale bring the feel of location to life. It really is impressive. Go back and look at the detail and subtly of light rings. Aaron, you amaze!

I can’t get a read from her face, We don’t know what Jim looks like now. My guess is no different from when we last saw him.It seems like Jim Should be down on the other level , or followed her up.We didn’t see or hear him passing her.My biggest question is who was talking?Holly and Chic? or Jim talking to himself?Doesn’t seem likely that Jim would be talking to Holly and Chic, he would have killed them.Unless in his god-like state he is telling them about the big fight that will soon kill Wally.Or maybe if he Is with them, Holly could be telling him to go and kill Phil, and kill Sarah-very-slowly.And how he could take out a sizable bunch of reptiles.

Back on monday, I just remember that she must have seen Someone. Since she said “is anyone down there (with you)? named Molly”I didn’t write it down, but I think that’s what she said, or was it “is anyone down there named Molly”

Nice knowing you, Kirbee……And when you consider how I feel about the vast majority of the lizards here, that says something.

Lol and the camera widens to reveal a furious Holly launching at Kirbee, yelling “MY NAME IS F#%$ING HOLLY! NOT MOLLY!!”

I kid of course. I’m in the rush of suspense (rolls around waiting for Friday)

In the last cell, the shadow looks like fingers grasping from both sides. But Jim has no fingers. Unless that’s teeth? Or it’s not Jim?

Aaaw, but she was one of the nice ones. :(

But getting a “Resident Evil” or “Event Horizon” feeling where things start out innocent, and things just end up burning down around them. Not that anyone would be overly surprised at that.

My question is is Kirbee still looking through the hole in the laundry chute or has she turned around and is looking at something that has sneaked up behind her?If she’s looking into the chute she could be facing something that’s benign but baffling, like Irving or a certain mouse waitress who climbed up the chute to correct her.If she’s looking back into the corridor, its probably something scary like Jim or whatever dragged Jim off. I’m guessing Jim. His crazy laughter suggested that the gas was able to kill whatever he’d become. Besides, there is Occam’s razor to consider.

    @Veteran

I know, considering if that really is Jim approaching her and the fact that Aaron has gotten down the jumpscare from the past few pages I can only imagine (post gassing, minus some fingers, etc) what a near dead Jim could look like in the light…….ulp.
