Hmm, now there’s a real argument worth investigating. Nothing wrong with dessert as the meal every once in a while, just as long as you don’t make it the only thing you eat for breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner every day of the week.

On the topic of dessert before dinner there used to be a restaurant about an hour from here that did dessert as dinner. In fact that’s all they served. Rather ironic to go in and look at a lunch or dinner meal and see nothing but pies and cakes. Kinda wonder now why they didn’t have pot pies, meat pies, or veggie pies.

Sounds like the meal has been spoiled already.

It happens sometimes, CB. Grin and bear it. Now eat your veggies.

We did that last week—had a dish of icecream before lunch. It was cooling and filling, and being real icecream as opposed to industrial stuff, was real food. Ate much less lunch than I normally would have, lost a pound and a half that week. Sucks to Patty.

I used to get notes sent home from grade school all the time that I ate my ice cream before my lunch. Since I ate both anyway, my Mom never saw what the big deal was.

We were never allowed to have the dessert on the table at the same time as the rest of the meal!

It could be worse, Charlie Brown. I think Europeans traditionally eat SALAD after the meal (aids digestion of the entrée).

I sometimes have dessert before dinner, usually when my daughter is not home.
