The Earth’s climate has always been changing. Do the Democrats now expect the planet to remain one constant temperature for eternity ?

James Watt actually summed up the whole denier argument when he declared it was vital we use up ALL natural resources, as rapidly as possible, and profitable, because Jesus was coming back to destroy the world, in his own lifetime. (Maybe James plans to live out the next 2,000 plus years?)

The most important thing is to keep pumping greenhouse gasses into the atmosphere. Whether climate change is real or not, additional greenhouse gasses will do nothing but continue to improve things.

I am beginning to think that Harley has other issues going on here, speaking as a psychologist. Every time we have a climate change cartoon, Harley goes to town, raving and frothing, usually posting a disproportionate number of the posts (10/24 on this one), responding to nearly every post — sometimes twice, evidently because the response is so fast that it isn’t fully thought through. Harley has also consistently not only ignored every piece of the OVERWHELMING data, but is even failing to cite the crappy denialist cites that have been taken down consistently by the actual scientists posting here.In one post, Harley seemed to refer to his/her parish. Coupled with the consistent reference to the “faith” of global warming (when of course it is the opposite of a faith) leads me to believe that there is either a faith-based issue here or some deeply-rooted fear that emerges in a savage defense mechanism. It’s sad, really. I used to try and provide a clear, simple explanation and references, at least for the benefit of others on this list. I think I will cease bothering, since all I get in return is ignorant, slanderous insults — at best.I will just note this: EVERYWHERE ELSE IN THE WORLD. this is not only accepted, settled SCIENCE, but leading CONSERVATIVE parties accept AGW and are discussing means to mitigate it. Except here.
