Who (besides Lio) knew there were so many slugs in the neighborhood willing to pony up 25 cents to watch a horror film? –Or that they would be so easily scared out of their wits?

Slugs didn’t invent the low-sodium diet, they merely perfected it…….Is it just me or does it look like Lio himself was surprised that his horror movie had THAT much impact on the audience?

i had been told that beer also works, but i thought that it would be a great waste of perfectly good beer

Put a pan of beer in the garden. They go to it, fall in drinking it. Lazier than a salting them. Battery acid in the cheap beer, I think.

There are eight million “salt and slugs” jokes in the naked city - this has been one of them!

They fall in, drink the beer and die drunk, what a way to go!

I did the beer in the pan once. Must have killed about 80 slugs that way, but it was very messy.

I’ve been told the beer works on mice too; they drink, are unable to burp, and it does ‘em in. (Never tried it, though).
