    And even worse than just being within reach now, she no longer locks it. Which means they have access anytime Mom wants them to start using the materials.

    Maybe they won’t eat the stuff – but now they are of an age to do “chemistry experiments” with the cleaning chemicals, which can be equally fatal. It’s probably ok to keep the chlorine based stuff (bleach) locked up, and keep only “natural” cleaners in reach (white vinegar, soap, simple green, etc).
