We all tell time in our own way. For me, birthdays that aren’t divisible by 5 don’t really count.

When I was in college a friend of mine was really hooked on Dallas. I didn’t care for the show myself, but one vacation break he was my ride home and we spent the night at his family’s ski lodge so I ended up watching Dallas with him. I remember the episode was about the Ewing son’s going down to South America to try and rescue their father after his private plane crashed in the jungle. They found the crash site, but no body and I commented to my friend (the actor playing the part had either died or was dieing at the time and the producers and decided to write out the charicter instead of making him an absent off screen charicter). I commented to my friend that by killing the charicter off like they did that meant that if they decided to bring him back the writers could say that he was injured in the crash and needed plastic surgery so they could bring in a different actor to play the part. A couple years later they did just that, adding that he had amnesia after the crash and that was why it took him so long to get back to his family.

There is quite a large body of research about how people remember things

There was no Victoria Collins in the original Dark Shadows. Her name was Victoria Winters. It gradually became suspected that she was the secret child of Elizabeth Collins Stoddard; however the actress left the series before her character’s secrets could be revealed.

My sister in law was a soap addict. She used to watch Dark Shadows, and that was the only one I would watch with her. It was hysterical….all the plots of a standard soap, but the characters were vampires, witches and werewolves! She took it dead serious, though and got very angry with me when I laughed my head off.
