Too Quiet!

Break out the stash and crank up the tunes.

You’re just not used to it, but imagine what you would want to be doing when the girls are there arguing and complaining.

You can’t appreciate what you never had.

It only gets this way after, like, day two or three…

I’ve NEVER had that problem. With homeschooling my two sons, it has been a rare occasion to have the house to myself. When they were younger, if I had a day at home all to myself, I would use it to clean out a closet where I had hidden the stuff my sons wanted, but couldn’t have without supervision. (Mostly art & craft supplies.) Or if I just needed to relax, a really interesting book can make the time pass too quickly. (Do you know how hard it is to concentrate on a book, when you’re getting constantly interrupted?)

Relaxing and just being quietly here in the moment has to be learned and practiced. She’s forgotten that we are called human beings for a reason, not “human doings.”

If I was Val I quit whining and do something I wanted to do that doesn’t have to do with the girls. Enjoy the quite. Me it’s easier to read with no noise.

I like to read for 2-3 hours in the garden when weather permits. Indoors I watch TV. I was surprized that even morning talk shows were something I couldn’t watch with grandkids here. I’m glad to be alone with a parrot.

She could kill an hour reading GoComics like I do.

Hey people! Try being Homeless! I ‘d like any room out of the cold! And for all you people who are saying “Get a job!” The hell with you! Less than part time employment will not get you first, last and a security deposit! Not to mention the FACT that some companies won’t hire you BECAUSE YOU’RE HOMELESS! Sorry, sometimes I get upset. I apologize but really, people ought to know!

Duh. Break out the vibrator.

She obviously doesn’t not have enough guilty pleasures to sneak. I NEVER have that problem.
