When they finished the story line with the grandpa passing away a few years ago. Then after that all they have done is this new story of when the kids are growing up.
I buy the comment that Biscuit didn’t bark because he recognized :Evie as family. But if he’s like most dogs I’ve seen (including a Jack Russell), he’d bark his head off and ask questions later. If he did recognize Evie, he’d be jumping all over her with tail wagging off. I guess we’re lucky that Jan showed him, so people wouldn’t be asking, “Where’s Biscuit?”
In yesterday’s strip they said that Evie is flying in tonight. Odd that no one even waited up for her unless she got in very late. I wouldn’t wake people up from a sound sleep to show them my ring.
It was others that accused Lynn Johnson of “jumping the shark.” I meant that if they felt that retiring and re-running the old strips was jumping the shark then Bill Waterton and Charles Schultz must be accused of the same thing.

Love this strip! It’s best of its genre since For Better or For Worse jumped the shark.
