That’s always the way. There’s some secrete out there that I need to know, and no one’s talking.

My husband tells people it is saying “yes, dear” with a big smile on his face.

My wife just left me. I’m the happiest I’ve been in 20 years!

Being honest, kind, decent and respectful to each other. On the days when that’s harder, a deep breath and a 10 count work well. :)

I used to work with a guy my age, but married about 10 years longer. I was bitching one day, and he said “You know, after all these years, I’ve developed a very complex philosophy on how to make a marriage work. Got time to hear it?”“Yeah, sure.”" Shut up & do as you’re told."

Ball room dancing is a good metaphor for the secret of a happy marriage. Ballroom dancing is a cooperation of two people moving as one. One partner steps forward while the other steps back all to the rhythm of life. You pay attention to your partner and watch each other’s back lest your spouse (and you) get into trouble. Simple in concept but difficult in execution.
