Staring at High School Graduation, I realized I’d never have another summer vacation. That was a terrible concept & I damn near cried. Now that I’m retired, though… :-)

Our newspaper has finally started running “Stone Soup” on Sundays only, lower left-hand corner of the back page, in a space that’s 1 3/4" by 5 7/16," give or take. It makes the comic look extremely squished, as if someone has sat on it, and inconsequential. I suppose I should be thankful for small favors. THANKS, TAMPA BAY TIMES!

When I was young I used to look at natural-wood patterns and see all kinds of faces which would get caught up in wondrous streams of situations and interactions. Now I can still see the faces, but I go eh. I can force myself to imagine something, but eh.
