The reason you get all that time (appointment, long waits, etc. ) is because the Doc figures that you have that opportunity to change your mind (at which point, they go “Whoo hoo! Golf at 2:30!”). If at that point, you still want to see them that badly, you’l be game enough to pay the bill……

most of the warnings are made toward the fools who start doing the “hard exercises” instead of taking it easy, and progressing from there(ones who are very heavy and what to cut down weight, or ones who know they are with a significant injury or ailment ), all others usually can start using at least until they have problems, than they would be forced to see a doctor

The problem with California’s Proposition 65 warning is that there’s no minimum threshold for the warning.OSHA considers a carcinogen to be a hazard if it’s in a product at 0.1% or greater.Something could contain 0.00000000001% carcinogen and California would require the warning.

“We also have a doctor shortage. Now why is that?” ^(1) Because……the perception is that more lawyers than doctors can pass the bar exam?(2) because……it takes less lawyers to screw in a light bulb?(3) because……now doctors rank below lawyers on the “gold digger top 40” chart?(4) because……P Diddy remade the Willie Nelson Song (and changed it to Doctors)? (5) because…..there’s actually more clinics on the corner than banks, bars and 7-Elevens? (6) because……not all of them can get a “tee time” on the weekends?(7) because….there’s a surplus of lawyers and laws? (See Brd’s comments)(8) because…. it’s “in” to transition from doctor to the newest “triple threat” (singer/dancer/actor)?(9) because…..“reality show star” sounds better on their resume?(10) because….the “Milli Vanilli/Jessica Simpson lip synching incidents” ruined it for everyone else?– or, because…………Kim Kardashian said that was her next move?

Nancy’s right… why get caught in the Medical Mouse Maze over a simple dumbass question? Example; (not to mention the 4 pages of questions about your ancestry, social security numbers, who to contact in case of emergency and what countries have you visited in the past 4 years…)“how long has it been since you’ve had a stress test?”“Better give you an EKG while you’re here..”“Have these blood tests done and come back in a month.”There’s more, but I return the floor to JayBlue, who obviously has LOTS more to say about the subject..

Lawyers cover their mistakes with words.Cooks cover their mistakes with mayonaise.Doctors cover their mistakes with dirt..The question is not why there are so few doctors, but how we find so many willing to risk the inevitable fatalities.

Isn’t that particular IKEA model popular with Mohels for performing the Bris?

Probably what the military would call a ‘small scale surgical strike’…

There is some truth to that, actually. If one was born at certain military hospitals, a circumcision was done routinely for “hygienic” reasons, regardless of religious preferences.

If Nancy is stressed out now, just wait until she (and Frank) and Lu go at it in re: “Alpha Wolf” house rules, once Lu reaches “age of consent/majority”). Inevitable, since Greg has Lu going to Pitts CC as opposed to Moony Uni (where she might be able to live “on campus”).

My take from the whole Gunther/Rosa relationship from yesterday…I still think it’d be best for Gunther to visit Peru over our summer (their winter). That way Gunther would better understand Rosa’s and his relationship. Yes, I think Rosa has given him the best she could give him and that is He must make the decision about whether or not he should go once all of the pros and cons are considered (which most of you pointed out..). And, yes, I did read everyone’s posts so I’ll know where to start from when Monday’s comic is posted this evening (what can I say about reading All of yesterday’s posts…I’m anal-retentive? LOL…whatever…I just like to know whats going on and who is commenting on it!).

A certain fraction dropped out or changed majors, so being bottom half of graduates might still be top quarter of those who started..Further, not being top of the class means the doctor knows he or she doesn’t know it all, didn’t upon graduation and doesn’t with new research coming out.
