Years ago, McDonalds made their fries with beef suet. That’s when they tasted the best. Not sure what they do now is any healthier, plus the second-and third-order effects on agriculture, as Al S. mentions.
I’m skeptical of health food claims. What is good, bad or indifferent seems to change to & fro. The industry feeds on academics who must publish or perish. Don’t ignore all the qualifiers in the news reports.

I did on Good Friday when I had their fish burger combo..I Catholic and couldn’t have meat that day the satisfries were pretty good
