Val: Why do you keep checking your phone?
Holly: I LIKE to.
Val: Put it away and do something productive.
Holly: OK OK
Val: I KNOW you have homework.
Holly: OK OK
Alix: What's wrong with YOU?
Holly: Mom...took phone...can't...breathe...
Once, my mom took my phone and I waited at a gas station for her for about a half hour before I finally called her and she said she left without me. Ah good times.NOT!!!
Kids, shmids. I get all anxious when deprived of a computer . . . especially when I haven’t yet read the comics on it that our newspaper doesn’t carry (plus the comics I esp. like to read the comments on). Then there’s Facebook to check, plus AOL mail, then one websudoku.com puzzle (easy). . . . My husband has to have his crossword puzzles, Sudoku, Ken-Ken, sports on TV, and Wanye Carini-type car shows. It all depends on what you’re addicted to, at any age.
With as little as I need a phone, dropping the land line and getting a pre-paid cell phone made sense. About $8 a month. Of course it depends on how much I use it.

Makes me wonder if this is how Elliott of “Daddy’s Home” reacts if something like that occurred.

This cartoon pretty much nails it. But, it’s not just teenagers.

I’m waiting for BartJ385 to complain that Holly’s eyes need fixing in panel 4.

This would be funnier if it weren’t so true.

I know a 29 year old who is the same way. You’d think their electronics are their actual life’s blood.

I’ve gone a whole day without any internet and I handled it quite well, so Holly will survive.

Smart cell phones can be expensive. Where did Holly get the money to buy it? Or who gave it to her and pays the monthly fee?

I am in my 60’s and I’m totally dependent on my smart phone.
