Grosse Point Blank, is still one of my favorites. Though I can watch The Quiet Man time after time.

“The Princess Bride” and “A Knight’s Tale.” Some of the best movie lines ever.

2001 A Space Odyssey: Our class was given the afternoon off to go see the movie. One kid picked up a kitten and sat through the movie with it. I was enjoying the kitten and the movie.

I was a big James Bond fan as a kid, and my mom took me to see Goldfinger as a special treat. I’m glad the theater was dark, as I must have blushed furiously, sitting next to my mom, when Pussy Galore introduced herself. As an adult, I took her to see Boogie Nights, and we got through that as well.

I can’t think of any that I remember “fondly”. I really disliked many of the old chestnuts, as I’ve seen them too many times. I watched “Harry Met Sally” a few weeks ago (one of my first dates with my new lover; we got a lot of laughs in that one. His collection is as extensive as mine, but I’ll be sharing some of my Foreign films (because his is lacking there). One that I plan is Fellini’s “City of Women” (about the "women’s movement- a clever satire).

Besides the Princess Bride (childhood favorite). I’m going to have to go with Austin Powers because it was the first movie I saw with my boyfriend, who is now my husband.

The last panel, she does’t care for his feeling like she did back then is more the point I think. not funny, but I can relate to that after 44 years of marrage.
