Fellow Baby, re last night’s comment, I meant that our society has chosen quantity over quality. When I was growing up in the 60’s, we had an antenna that got CBC and CTV stations in Montreal, and one station from Vermont (CBS) and one station in New York State (NBC) We also got a very snowy ABC station from Maine and that was it aside from the 2 French stations locally. There was plenty of good shows to watch back then, with no VCR or DVR to record them. Then came cable, followed by the Springsteen song 57Channels With Nothing On. Now of course, you’ve got Satellite televison, television on the Web and so on. Aside from the local news, out of all the stations available, the only station I will consistently watch is TCM Classic Movies.
When I first moved down I watched a lot of TV Land, but programming changes have left that as bad or worse than the rest.
I just thought of this ‘76 tune when I read the lines of the last panel…..that’s just the way these old codgers’ minds operate. A couple of words strung together, an odor, a glimpse of a faded memory on a photo are all it takes to bring back a long ago past in technicolor and 3D with digitally remastered sound track.….now, where the heck did put my car keys?
Fellow Baby is TV Land even called TV Land anymore? Yes, it has gone downhill. We get something called Antenna TV which carries a lot of the old programs. There’s also one called Real TV which is very similar.

Fellow Baby, I should check and see if DirecTV has those stations. They didn’t when I first signed on with them.
