Hmm…. A San Diego Reference in that book?…. …..– Hmm… a reference to Susan Newman?….is this the Susan Newman, PhD ? if so, is this a reference to the “psych” behind Luann and Tiffany, or just a general shoutout?… – And also, I guess we’ll spend today, debating if Tiffany really didn’t plan on going to Moony Uni with Quill…

Cool, so Tiffany trying for Moony Uni too. It looks like most of Luann’s friends, acquaintances, and enemies will stay in the area.

“The whole damn world is just as obsessedWith who‘s the best dressed and who‘s having sex,Who‘s got the money, who gets the honeys,Who‘s kinda cute and who‘s just a messAnd you still don’t have the right lookAnd you don’t have the right friendsNothing changes but the faces, the names, and the trendsHigh school never ends”

In this case, not even the names will change. Those poor girls!

That’s what my parents, aunts, and uncles said when they went to theirs. The cliques and people were still the same.

But, my mom was very happy to realize that most of the girls who avoided and teased her because her parents were divorced were now divorced themselves and still working while she was comfortably retired.

It seems as if the core cast will change less next year than this Sunday’s strip implied. Tiffany is one who I thought would definitely leave Pitt after graduation, to try to land small jobs in Hollywood. So will next year’s strip be pretty much the same as always? The only difference is that Luann will not be in class with her old chums. since she will be at Pitt CC and they will be at Mooney Uni, but after hours everybody’s still here. Rosa will have left, so Gunther will be alone. Maybe he will meet Rosa-2 at Mooney Uni and will be better capable of carrying on a romance then?

IZATSO, “Little Ms Possessive?” Well Seeing as How Tiff Had Q-Ball First and YOU pretty much SNATCHED Him Outta HER Clutches, I Think the FAIR Thing to Do Is to have a Third and Deciding Round Between You and Tiff.

Now NORMALLY, I’d Suggest an Oil Wrestling Match to the Death between You Two, but since This Is a “Family Strip” Luann, YOU Should Attend Moony U in the Fall, and PROTECT Your ALLEGED “Property”.

Tiffany and Luann have been battling it out since Aaron Hill, and Tiffany said some pretty mean things to Luann during those days. Luann isn’t being half as mean to Tiffany as Tiffany was to Luann. The roles have been reversed only slightly.

Normally a girl would want to go to the same college as her boyfriend. Since she isn’t, I predict heartbreak for Luann. She might become alienated from her friends since she won’t be with them at Moony.

Remember that one of Luann’s New Year’s resolutions was to not let Tiffany bug her. There will be a whole lot of bugging going on. There already is.

I recall that when Luann started that a woman wrote to the Sacramento Bee stating, “Please don’t insult my 84-year-old intelligence with Luann.” That sounds like Tiffany and Luann at 84 years of age light years from now. LOL!

@LeviticusYou have brought up a point that has bugged me for years. Both Bernice and Crystal are only portrayed as snarky and condescending to their supposed BFFs. I think we are so assume they actually like them and give them emotional support; this is not depicted in the comic itself. I think Crystal donated a bathroom mirror once in Tif’s name? A RARE occurrence. I don’t ever remember Bernice being sweet to Luann.-I admit both Luann and Tiffany are self-centered and seem to always dominate the topic of conversations. I can see why their associates would get tired of that. Don’t the girls EVER act like friends to each other?

Look at it this way, if Tiffany goes to college as she is right now, she has extreme flexibility. If she finds some field of study she likes better and which likes her better, she can switch to it. If she finds a richer dude or one she actually likes for himself, she is free to switch that way too.Shoot, it might not even be a dude..HAPPY HUNTING, TIFFANY

More insight to Tiff’s well connected Father. She has no ambition to go to any college. And seems to hate any idea the she will have to ever be self sufficient. Daddy will not have his little girl go through the humiliation of being rejected by any college, even the junior college Luann is going to. So he SAID that she is going to Moony Uni, the fix is in, just like the Drama Camp adventure. Plus Moony Uni may have a “better class” of potential future husbands for her to find, of course, looking at from a Daddies point of view.

They actually do have a mobile app for GoComics …. but 10 minutes of using it on your phone, and you’d want to switch back to the desktop version on your phone… – If you have touch, there’s the long-press to highlight everything you typed, and then copy, re-post it and then you can delete the old post… or if you catch yourself during your composing, you can long press and then choose to highlight just that word or sentence..– If you have already been trying those things before, you can also switch the auto correct off in your phone keyboard’s settings, (or your phone’s main settings [sometimes listed under “word predict", “T-4 prediction”, or something similar ”]),depending on the phone you use….

never use a phone to do a computer’s work. ^99% of the time it’s true….but this morning/late evening’s “new day’s posts” seemed to be the 1%, where for some reason, the server went down on everybody…using the phone helps to let you know if there’s a problem on your computer, or on the GoComics site, etc,… – Or if it’s just a local network problem, then the phone, for that bit of time, doesn’t seem too bad to use….

I think Tiffany isn’t telling the truth about her Dad Making her attend MU…Of Course she knows that Quill will be there in the Theater program! Even though Quill has shown no interest in Tiffany lately, Tiffany might be thinking that she’ll have another chance to draw him into her web as they will probably be working/studying together. Luann’s next step should be to apply to MU, perhaps in general studies, so she can keep an eye on what might be happening between Tiffany and Quill. (And also have a better chance at finding what she Really wants to do with her life.) Do I feel sorry for the Tiff? Not really. She might have other friends and acquaintances that don’t appear in the strip; Greg can only do so much for her. Flame away… ;)

Tiffany is not the cool, popular girl that rarely loses! She is a lonely, unpopular girl with no friends who almost always loses, and who has one goal of acting and even Luann is portrayed as better at her at it even though Luann puts no effort towards it. The story of Tiffany is beyond tragic.^^Ever hear of karma? For years Tiff treated everyone like dirt; this is just her reaping what she sowed for so long.

Four kids, four college grads—and it was never as easy as saying “My dad said something about….” Kids have to work hard to apply for colleges, and in most cases, the apps were due a month ago. Unless Daddy wrote her essay, filled out her app, doctored her grades, and forged her electronic signiture, she isn’t going anywhere.

Actually, with a one-word response, there is not way of knowing whether “Who?” or “Whom?” is correct. One is right if the full sentence is “Who is that?”, and the other is right if the full sentence is “Whom do you mean?”

With this story arc in particular, I was kind of hoping to see some thawing between Luann and Tiffany. Just about all the characters seem to be getting ready for life after Pitts H.S. and are growing. Even in yesterday’s panel, Luann seemed to be seeing some appreciation for Tiffany. What’s wrong with a little reciprocity?

Have you stopped to consider “GerryLee” re-visiting, as well?… GL was a fan of Tiffany enough to want to articulate that much about her… furthermore, Really Bad’s posts actually lead to a point and go somewhere…. – And, too, I had someone to say that I must have been DW when I first started posting… so it’s easy to suspect, but this evidence would seem for the time to be “circumstantial”….. I have come to appreciate that time proves things.. give it enough time, and if so, the posts would “self-destruct on their own”… – And again, the posts RB makes here are specific , and actually make points and lead somewhere… and note the absence of that “thumbs” thing that I won’t repeat…

I’m not saying that it’s not possible…. it is quite possible… – But, like a good detective, one has to “let the details add up”, and let the patterns come together, and not “force” it… focus on a specific pattern, and let the person(s) “trip themselves up”… or else one can easily give them a chance to “deny the accusation”, or even evade it somehow, if we jump too quickly before “it’s time to point the finger at the butler”…. – At this point, it could still be a number of possiblilties, including what you propose….

So if someone was a jerk in the past they should be lonely forever? If not forever, then how many years would be acceptable to you?^^Well, the point is that Tiffany spent years treating pretty much everyone like crap, using them, making fun, etc. and when you treat people like that, there aren’t going to be many, who will forgive that easily.

“Work ethic is about building character through diligence and hard work, and producing new skills from it,”.Interesting definition.Normally work ethic is thought of showing up on time, doing the work required to the best of your ability and doing it day after day without fail.-Let’s see what wikipedia says:.Work ethic is a value based on hard work and diligence. It is also a belief in the moral benefit of work and its ability to enhance character. An example would be the Protestant work ethic. A work ethic may include being reliable, having initiative, or pursuing new skills..Workers exhibiting a good work ethic in theory should be selected for better positions, more responsibility and ultimately promotion. Workers who fail to exhibit a good work ethic may be regarded as failing to provide fair value for the wage the employer is paying them and should not be promoted or placed in positions of greater responsibility...Ahh, we all three pretty much agree
