Do we have any suggestions for what the poster is in panel 2?“WELCOME TO HISTORY!” perhaps?

While History might be the endThe “to” would be too short to centerWhat happens next? Find foe or friend?(Assuming they’re still bound to enter…)=|====/ Level HeadVote for Endtown 2.0And for Doc Rat, tooThe Endtown ForumThe Endtown AuctionThe Endtown Books

Realistically, putting out a doormat that says “Welcome” may be a bad idea here.

@HuskyThe place looks to me like an office building, and that thing on the wall, a punch-clock.

It looks like a punch-card clock. I always called them time clocks although sitting here that seems a bit redundant. Only thing is there should be a rack for punch cards next to it. But yeah, time clock, lockers, file cabinets, probably a safety poster on the wall – looks like the worker entrance to an industrial facility.

This to me does not look like a primary entrance but one of the side areas you could enter. Like a rabbit hole. Several entrances to make sure if one is attack there are others to escape. What Wally needs to watch for now are CHUDs. Cannibalistic Humanoid Underground Dwellers.Of course here it would be CHADs.Cannibalistic Anthromorphic Underground DwellersIf this is on the road travelling from coast to coast….its Amarillo, Texas. Think about it Albion West….Amarillo Texas it does sound the same….sort of.They are travelling on Route 66 just add one more 6 and you got the apocalypse.

That front door’s been open for some time, the dust from the outside has slowly been making its way in. I’m guessing that Alboin West was taken down at least a few days ago, maybe longer. If there are many transporters out here, they are well hidden and are not using their mind communication thing, possibly radio communication only. I suspect that they’ll only find the ransacked colony and not any topsiders, but I could easily be wrong.

“To and from the coast” implies there’s still a coast, and therefore some kind of open water. Unless it’s just what they call where it used to be…

The standard Sci-Fi story about how people eventually go mad when they are penned up for long periods of time.

Just throwing this out there:Albion is the oldest documented name for the main island of Great Britain.Albion West could mean something like “New England”.Just because it is named "west " does not necessarily mean it is west of Endtown. Our heroes could be trekking from mid continent to the east coast.

" Standard real scenario. Solitary Confinement drives people mad. It is a torture technique widely used in our prisons. That and suicide when everything you know and love is gone.". Ordinarily true, there are different manifestations. Stockholm syndrome is one manifestation, Jim Jones and other cult leaders have exercised it and there are other examples. We seem to be hearing so many stories lately of men, or sometimes women, couples or groups keeping a victim, and some of them did not completely lose their minds, but I feel the survivors have a heavy load to carry if they escape or rescued.I believe Veteran has discussed POW training in the military. Some of the greatest stories of surviving being a Prisoner of War were written by the late Vice Admiral James Bond Stockdale. Admiral Stockdale was in Hanoi Hilton, and when he ran for Vice President, I personally thought he was the finest man to seek the office of Vice President in many decades.Stockdale knew the Gulf of Tonkin was made up, because he had the best flight seat in that incident, and I believe it was important to too many people that he not be able to speak the truth to Americans. Stockdale was great, but not suited to a Presidential/Vice Presidential campaign, and his running mate left something to be desired.

The thing I keep wondering about is…we know that the dittos can fool our eyes. But can they fool the ear as well? Holly and Wally are doing an awful lot of talking, as they walk into a suspicious and potentially dangerous lair…

@Three Steps: I suppose, but I have never been hungry or thirsty enough to risk my life for supplies. I still think they’ll survive if they walk away now.
