    Definitely a practical pet to have around. Ours did her job gratefully and with finesse.

    There is no 5 second rule if it doesn’t reach the floor first.

    I second that EEEEYEW, Jo Clear. But Sophie the vacuum is on top of things.

    My Lab mix, Jay, had a 0 second rule! He would sometimes catch the food before it even hit the floor!

    Vacu-Dog, my room mate’s Shepherd, loved picking up the morning after a party. He did love popcorn. :-)

    My cocker mix used to sit under the kitchen table and intersect crumbs before they even touched the floor. Who needs a robotic vacuum when you have a dog!

    @Charles Smith

    Had a dingo mix that would beg to differ. We tried to train him not to automatically eat whatever he found by soaking bits of hot dogs in hot sauces and spices. He made funny faces but ate every piece he could find. After that he was always begging for spicy foods.
