I know a lot of footballers who’d like to chase a “fan” or two off the pitch and out of the stadium. Those spectator’s comments ,though, aren’t as mild as this poor guy’s.I give today’s effort a +8

SixThe current fixing fiasco only goes to prove a long standing arguement that I have had about international players.Because of the huge amount of money generated by gambling on professional sports, it is not unexpected that individuals from cultures, where bribery and theft are accepted as a way of life, should succumb to the temptations of additional monies.In a sport where individuals bribe their way onto FIFA boards, and nations do likewise for venues and voting privilidges, why are we shocked at a few players conduct ?This starts at the top with FIFA Boss Blatter and works it’s dirty way down to the likes of the Africans players Sodje and Campbell !Andy would only take a bribe if it was in alcholic form.
Just for fun, take a stopwatch and time the actual amount of physical action that takes place in an american football game from the time the ball is snapped until the play has ended. I think you’ll be surprised to learn that your 60 minutes of game is actually, around 22 minutes of real action.While the clock does not stop for injury or penalty in soccer, time is added on to the end of each half to make up the difference of the stoppages. Unlike other sports, football ( soccer ) is 90 minutes of continuous action broken into two 45 minute segments.
Only one spectator, I see. (Then again, Flo and Andy are the only ones ever at the horse races……..) This one would’ve been funnier if there would’ve been a token other few in the crowd and Andy was even shorter (but fiercer) compared to the heckler. Is Andy the only soccer player in the world who doesn’t do the dreaded flop? “I went to a soccer match and bad acting broke out.”
