Mine was a B&H cube projector – till the bulb burned out and was not worth the cost to replace. Processed all my slides to digital pictures.

I remember family slide shows. I haven’t thought about them in years…..I think I kind of miss them……It was a family get together….And there is something to be said for very large pictures of your trip to Mackinac Island….The horse poop is so much more impressive…BIG piles of it….

They should get the picts on an SD card and plug it in the HDTV. At least my Panasonic has that feature.

We use digital slide projectors at seminars now. Same effect but without the slide tray.

Cool! A carousel slide projector. I remember those. Yeah, yeah, I know. Age comment! Only we never had one. We took Super 8 films of our trips to California. But we DID have that tripod pull-up screen!

What we need is a digital projector which shines directly on our retinas. Minimal power demand.Full field of vision potential. Can correct for vision imperfections.

We still have our projector. Wonder if it works? Hubby would just plop the slides in, in any order – here’s my folks place in the mountains, this is our trip to the Smith – and I finally dumped them all out and put them on order. I even labeled the boxes! Haven’t been that organized in years.

I remember the term “35 mm.”Remember the slides jamming in the tray? Or the screen showing a blank when the contraption skipped over a photo? Also, my husband made our one-car garage into a darkroom, and we had to park our cars outside. He bought a color-processing kit, but the results were terrible; photos were all cyan and magenta. Now he spends most of his days photoshopping, and projects shows from a laptop onto our TV.

I don’t understand why slide scanning is so expensive. Yes, I miss seeing pictures on a format bigger than an iPhone screen.

I remember doing presentations with slides. Remember to put them in upside down and backwards or your pictures came out funny.

Ha! I’m going through a pile of my parents’ slides now. Bought a device on Amazon that scans it so the image is on my computer. Now I can divy them up to whoever is interested.
