The last time Jay Leno did a gag in his monologue about cops and donuts, he caught hell from cops who didn’t like the stereotype, as he mentioned the following week; because the next Monday, he had a photo in his Headlines segment of a cop car crashed into the back of a donut truck. You can’t write this stuff.
