Today’s strip shows once again that not only does the current team not get Andy’s true character, neither do the other characters! The classic about the treasurer had it right (the joke AND the art were both miles ahead of today’s). I liked the other classics, too. (I can picture a re-do of the first classic: “All those GoComics authority figures who voted to allow a certain troll to continue posting should go sober up!”)
Unfortunately, like the little child with an emotional disturbance, this creature craves attention, any kind of attention, – therefore feeding off all of the negativity directed her way. She thrives on it. Sick ? Yes, but even by my comment now, she is achieving her goal. Sad life, feeding off the opprobrium directed at her.

You know some of my back story, but for those who don’t, here it is in a nutshell:>I am an American, born in Texas, lived in various locations. My lovely wife of 53 years was from Scotland, sadly she passed away about 2-1/2 years ago. She came to the US as a young woman where we met and married.>We would visit Scotland frequently in our later years and sometimes visit some of her old haunts. In 1996 we purchased a flat (apartment) in Troon. We would “go native” and sometimes live there for weeks at a time.>Six has posted a nice picture of the building. Mrs. Six must have shot the pic.
I’ve been sick for a couple of days. But I caught up on the doings here. I sure wish I could schedule my sick days around Clubb Capp. Our visiting Professor seems to really have it in for our Affiable Maltese falcon. What’s really funny and heartwarming, together, is the way the trollish one is rebuked. And, may I add, by newcomers. Now, that’s a community. God bless you all. Even the trollish professor.

Thank heavens – GoComics has an “Unflag” feature. I had flagged Linguist instead of a certian troll with an identity crisis – apologies and cheers.
I do wish the writers of Andy Capp would revert to his original accent. It seems to suit his character (or lack of it) much better.
