Val: Call Kaytlyn and apologize for hurting her feelings. Holly: I DID! She's still mad. Val: Then go to her house and try again IN PERSON. Holly: Why can't I just TEXT her? Val: Because that shows no real EFFORT on your part. Holly: I'll make it a really LONG text!

Here’s a thought. Tell me if it’s good. Val & Holly call Kaytlyn or go to her house together, discuss it all and then apology.

Do kids know how to SPEAK in person or on the phone anymore?

This generation is a lazy bunch.

I was surprised the other day at a fast food restaurant, when I observed two teenagers who WEREN’T using their cell phones the whole time! Instead, they were talking ABOUT their cell phones the whole time… (But at least they were actually talking, face-to-face!!)

I have to admit, my cursive writing is HORRIBLE! Between working on the computer and dashing off quick memos to co-workers, my penmanship has plummeted. Part of it could be my car accidents, but even my calligraphy has shown a downhill slide, and I was the Queen of Gothic Batarde and Uncial for wedding invitations and signage. My cursive looks like something being written during a 7.5 Richter earthquake.

I think Holly already did enough by calling the girl to apologize. Going to her house wouldn’t do any good at this point. Hopefully the girl will forgive her later on but if not forcing herself on her to apologize in person won’t help.

Holly should buy the girl a present too.

My Grandson spent a little time on cursive. Ten minutes a day, one letter a day. I doubt he will remember it all. I guess if he can sign his name that will will be good. Really, how often do we need it anymore?

I think Kaytlyn never gonna forgive Holly ever. She gonna hate Holly for the rest of her life.

Val, drive Holly to the house and make sure she DOES apologize before grounding her for the next two weeks.

Nothing less than a face-to-face apology will do here. Although I doubt that will satisfy Kaytlyn; the damage is already done. And Val is in my doghouse for even giving Holly the option of making a telephone call.

Thank the Lord that someone still believes the best way to teach forgiving and forgiveness is face to face. As long as you do it with a proper attitude and the other doesn’t or isn’t ready to forgive, you’ve done your part. Kids, and way too many adults are seriously lacking in people skills today.
