I think she’s in 7th or 8th grade. She’s lucky there’s only one more week. In my area of Canada they go through the end of June. And start up again in August.

She’s not spoiled. This is normal behavior for a 13-year-old girl. Totally focused on herself and her changing body, feelings, chemistry, etc..

Eighth grade, isn’t it? That’d be about right — my eighth grader makes the exact same noises (although she has a few weeks left to go, thanks to snow).

Or maybe she needs to use all this drama in something that needs it, like a play. My youngest can be sassy, so she’s involved in cheerleading. I tell her that she can be as sassy as she wants when she’s at cheerleading, but she has to turn it off everywhere else. Works for us.

Pretty sure she’s in about 8th grade. (I’ve been teaching HS for 40 years!)
