What, nobody else wants to comment on the sexual innuendo?

Would that book be The Joy of Self-Deprecation?

I think Trout’s mom’s practice sessions are probably more gratifying…

I was just going to say I really like the artwork and coloring today… I’ll finish my coffee and check back later, maybe I can come up with something better.

A new high for Agnes. Deprecating one’s ability to self-deprecate.

“Sounds like Trout’s Mom may deprecate Trout instead of herself.”

    Now that’s just sick.

(FYI, the innuendo is definitely there…)

Trout’s been reading her moms book, huh. She may know more than she’s letting on.

I read the strip one way. Then saw the comments and re-read. Oh yes. Innuendo is there. But nicely written and hidden. .and that is all I will say. no other comments from this peanut gallery required.

“That is definitely in your head the way you decided to interpret the word “deprecation.””-Naw, it isn’t the word which was used but the word which wasn’t used, the term “self” involved in it, the fact that the mother locked the door ere practicing the teachings, the fact that she had the book hidden in the first place and the very meaning of the word “innuendo” — that which is implied but not openly stated as true, “an indirect remark or gesture that usually carries a suggestion of impropriety” -Thus, there is an innuendo whether anything is happening or not. It’s part of the humor.
