OY! I so wish I couldn’t relate to this – then or now!
I did figure out why I still dislike Mondays – even in retirement – that is because most people return to work on Monday and lay their stuff on me; it’s always a problem!
I don’t do this anymore, but probably had an internal voice just like this in my 20s. Now my caregiver is a bit more competent, and if I, er I mean she, screws up, it usually can be fixed or is not a big deal. That aside, I do like these older Cathy strips when she’s relatable and seems more real. (Plus, I didn’t realize Cathy wore contacts. Would love to see how she looks in glasses)
Hello Cathy friends! Happy Monday! I hope hendelca and the rest of our Canadian friends had a very happy Thanksgiving! What was the food dish that you enjoyed the most? Have a great day, all!
I always buy a second of everything I get at the store (food, tea, artificial sweetener, toiletries, dish soap, detergent, cat litter, etc.) for this exact reason. There are always at least two of everything in my home. As soon as I open the last of something, I consider myself “out” of it.
Well buckle up people! It’s only going to get worse around here as supplies are going to be short in the stores. I am already into choosing second choices for items I need, and you can forget your favorite brand names!
Happy Thanksgiving, hendelca!! I have been known to yell at myself when I screw up, but my husband takes the prize for beating himself up. I used to think it was directed at me, but I’ve been told and finally internalized it that he is really yelling at himself.

It’s hard to face yourself and Monday all at the same time. Head over to the neighbors house and ask to borrow a cup of coffee.

It’s when you go grocery shopping, get a huge order, and only discover after you get it all home that you forgot the ONE thing you went for.

Nobody can tear a strip off me as well as I can – and I do. I will admit I also give my self a pat on the back when I get something tricky done right.
Happy Thanksgiving to all the other Canadians here today. Happy Monday to everyone else.

Yup—sometimes, I feel like I’m the only person who will listen to me … ha.
