Transcript:
Tax man: This year's "mood depreciation allowance" gives hard-working people like you some much-needed breathing room. Cathy: "Mood depreciation"?? Tax man: Last year you were a little grumpy about how you'd handled your own finances. This year you've watched financial experts plunge the whole economy into ruin...and seen your meager life savings sucked into the abyss along with it!! Cathy: Where's our breathing room?? Tax man: You stand there. I'll stand WAY over here!

As applicable this year as it was on 2009, when it was first published. The only difference is that now it’s the politicians, rather than the financial experts, that are plunging the whole economy into ruin.

Yup. When Wells Fargo bank can not balance it’s own checkbook I don’t feel so alone. Of course there is always Bad Bernie Madoff.

Look at it this way…C & I have been boosting our economy all year, by spending, spending, spending.

I agree. That breathing room is even more applicable today than it was when the strip was originally published.
I hope everyone is having a great, safe, healthy, Saturday.

lindz.coop – the snow we got the other day came from you! I had talked with my older daughter who lives near Toronto and she said it was snowing there. It did not start here for another few hours so your fault again. ;) Snow in April is normal here. Don’t mind the little flurries but really do not want another storm that dumps a foot or so.

Wow. What a positive, optimistic outlook in panel 3. (Sorry … I still haven’t found a much-needed Sarcasm font.) Oy.
HI, MOM. Hello, “Cathy” Clan.
