And somehow, this still seems relevant in 2020!

I love hard salami! Such a tasty, seasoned meat. Guaranteed to give you bad breath for the rest of the day. So worth it. With spacing yourself from others, and wearing a mask, who can tell?

We never seem to get ahead. Even if we do get ahead we never seem to be far enough ahead. I suppose that is what keeps us going. If we finally get to where we have enough we will start using it up and then need to start over again.

The thing that I’m hung up on here is the fact that this guy’s wife MADE HIS SANDWICH. I have a husband and teenagers, and I haven’t made a sandwich for anybody but me in close to a decade now.

If I walked into my tax preparer’s office and saw it completely empty of everything but his laptop computer, a stack of papers and his little “CPA” desk sign, I’d have to look for some-one else to do my taxes for me — even if it meant having to pay them more because of how close it’s getting to April 15th. The absolute LAST person in the world I’d want filing all of my paperwork is someone who has (apparently) gotten himself into so much financial trouble that he’s had to sell pretty much everything he owned that was work-related ….. right down to his stapler, tape dispenser and paperclips! Just makes me wonder if the house he and his wife lives in is this empty of furniture and “accessories” too?

Hoo, boy. Yeah … I’d have second thoughts if I entered an accountant’s office and it was as bare as this one is. Run, Cathy/Irving!

    HI, MOM. Happy Sunday, Clan.

Coincidence? I just finished filing income tax for my wife and I – really early for me since our taxes are not due until April 31 normally – now extended to June I think. Trying to think back to when ebay and other auction sites really took off. Because if it was when this strip was written the empty office may not be a sign of hard times but on auction fever – selling instead of buying.

Did I offend anyone? My post from 2 days ago has disappeared. Maybe I got closer than 2 metres to another post. No bonfires this weekend. The town, in an attempt to protect our fire fighters has declared a ban on all fires. Yesterday we had to keep our 6 foot distance away from each other while we sat inside a boat house around a wood stove. Not quite as nice but it will do. Would rather have been outside since the sun was shining although the breeze was rather cool.

I hope everyone is making sure they are following the physical distance guidelines but are not social distancing each other. We must keep in contact even if it is electronically. Being totally isolated is not good for most people. Stay safe – and happy.

We are about to hit our peak here in Michigan…unfortunately, we still have to go grocery shopping, but my husband says he will wear a mask and be very careful. I can’t go because I can’t walk very well yet, so depending on him to get what he can, and stay safe….and that is my wish for everyone on this Cathy site…stay safe.
