The hoity-toity days of designer knock-offs are over. Today's woman values practicality, not pretense. Fine shops everywhere are embracing the return to simple, honest authenticity with a whole new line for spring: The discount store knock-off. Saleswoman: Look! OUR prices are as cheap as THEIR prices! Other saleswoman: No one will know you didn't buy this in a giant warehouse!

“In England, it rains every day and they frequently say Hoity-Toity,” or so we were taught in my school when I was in second or third grade (many eons ago).

Yup we traded designer knock-offs for throw away clothes…most of the new clothing is meant to last until it’s washed once then you might as well pitch it.
