Chazz: Check it out! Poncho--I mean, Poncho's tongue--can juggle six teacups. Poncho: Sorry. I had to Michigan J. Frog you there, Chazz. But the tongue only performs when it feels like it, and there's no reasoning with it, let me tell you. Hello my baby...hello my darlin'... Chazz: So now I've got two entities working to give me grief!

Chazz don’t forget, Carmen is an entity that also gives you grief.
MorganZ over 14 years ago
@Mitstan: Others have pointed out in the past that sometimes Carmen’s neckline changes from a turtleneck to a v-neck within the same strip. So yeah - she’s consistent today.

Don’t worry about it, Chazz. As the parrot said when his owner lost a bet that he (the parrot) could chant the Rosh Hashanah service, “Just think of the odds we’ll get on Yom Kippur!”

Quick, somebody write to Language Log and tell them that “Michigan J. Frog” has been used as a verb, a transitive verb!
junebugmom over 14 years ago
Since nobody else has pointed it out, I will: It’s “Hello my baby, hello, my HONEY”–not darlin.
