leave well enough alone, bud. Ask a woman if she needs help and she’ll find something for you to do.

ask “you need help?” you get 5 good points, say “you are a wonderful woman” 10 good points ………………………………. but if you don’t ask, and simply help her, even if she says “you don’t have to” (but you can see it is exhausting work) huge amount of good points and a Priceless night

You’d think Frank would have learned by now to leave well enough alone. Two bad points for failing to learn from experience….

????Seems pretty accurate, except that LuAnn and Toni are supposed to be blondes, not redheads. And they all look like they’re twelve years old – especially Tiffany.

What, Frank and Nancy can’t get romantic?……Sure, but it’s the kind of thing you would say to a buddy; not a parent. How many of us like to envision and encourage our mom and dad to ‘do it’.

Just because virgins haven’t had sex yet doesn’t mean that they don’t know what it is or what it’s about.

Delta was hard to do; the program didn’t have a brown skin option, so I had to erase the arms and face and redraw them myself (The clothes are the only thing I didn’t hand draw on Delta); the drawing program has it’s limitations, so, sometimes you just take the closest thing to what you need and go with it. And yes, the guy with Gunth and Knute is Aaron Hill

There seems to be a popular misconception that Work is divided into “men’s work” and “women’s work”. Not so. Will Brad try to tell Toni that repairing cars is “men’s work”? I don’t think so!

Having to ask “do you need help” is always a point against, house work is never finished, don’t ask just do, you live there to. If you ask and she says no, it’s a sarcastic no meaning “you should just help without asking, when I know you are hoping I will say no so you can sit on your ass.”

Brad’s comment in panel 2 creeps me out.-I agree. It’s like he’s saying, “I’ll make sure Luanns out of the house, so you and mom can do it.” It implies that (a) he is encouraging his parents to do it, (b) his parents only do it when no one else is in the house and © “getting points” = “getting some”. Brad is an ADULT. He knows his parents have sex. He knows how he came to exist. He knows how Luann came to exist. I find it very silly that it is “improper” for children to know about or talk to parents about sex. This is the teachings of the CHURCHES. It escapes me why church teach their followers that it is improper for their children to know or talk to parents about sex. No wonder there is plenty of teenage pregnancies and misconceptions about sex – thanks to the backward thinking of many parents. Education begins at HOME.Just to be clear, I am not saying to go ahead and make noises while the kids are around. That would be yucky, indeed. Knowing and actually seeing or hearing them doing it are two different things. I believe parents should be discreet when having sex and it is best when the kids are not in the house. That teaches the kids that there is right time and place to do it – not doing it anytime or anyplace they feel like it.

Maybe you’re reading too much into it. What I heard Brad saying is, “if you’re trying to get in Mom’s good graces, I’ll make sure you have some time alone.” Doesn’t necessarily mean “doing it”……..That would be cool, but the look on his face says otherwise to me….. I like your take, though.

Regarding the topic of this strip….my husband does yard work, keeps the garage clean, his office clean, and washes his clothes. So that is his half. I do my half – keep the rest of the house clean and wash the rest of the laundry. He cooks most of the time and I do the clean up. We never ask each other if we need help – we just do what is our half. Husbands who keep points are male chauvinist in my opinion – that housework and kitchen are women’s arenas and they ask out of pretense that they are interested in helping. Wives know it so they say no. SO 1950s….where Greg came from.

Re 2nd panel: Brad already knew that Dad was going to be in the doghouse & that his point system was skewed..I didn’t take today’s strip as sexist in housework roles, just that Mom obviously needed assistance and Dad, sitting on the couch, was not really offering to help..Honesty, consideration and loving gestures are not funny or comical. Think of ‘I Love Lucy’ shows.
