What would Trump deem more appropriate — a hearse, or a clown car? At the memorial wake — a little song, a little dance, a little seltzer down the pants? The whole Trump term has been like a remake of “Attack of the Killer Clowns.”
I see how he supports our “suckers”. I just received a letter from Tricare stating that if I want to continue having coverage as a retiree, I will now have to pay a monthly fee. This is for a benefit I supposedly earned through over 20 years of uniformed service. F-U coward.
trump is not known for being politically correct.. but he is quite correct in labeling a good percentage of his standing military as “suckers”. An objective look at any of the brochures given away at recruitment booths shows glory and the opportunity to play with expensive toys.. And.. most recruitment centers are appealing to the “losers”.. kids that are unlikely to escape their current status.. the ones that see low paying jobs, if any.. in their future.
Joining the forces is one way out.. get a trade.. see the world. The word “losers” is derogatory.. but for them the system would not work .
And before I get flamed.. I was one of those.. A recruitment drive gave me an opportunity to get out of a valley with little economic future.. provide me with a trade that served me well.. gave me an opportunity to see parts of the world I would not otherwise have seen. Was I sucked in.. absolutely.. you give any 18 year old a travel voucher and some spending money to go the big city.. (Vancouver BC).. the allure of the fabled wine women and song in every port.. one test leads to another and there you are.. a recruit in Cornwallis .. Was I a loser? I might have been.. but for my 7 year term (1963 > 1970) with absolutely no regrets.
Sadly it’s reached the point where I think a lot of people would truly like to see how he stands up to actual hostile fire. Or even friendly fire. How the hell did this country tolerate so much corruption (in any sense of the word) by those who run (and again in any sense of the word) this country?

† In my mind they’re about as far from “sucker” is it’s possible to get. My heartfelt thanks for their service.
