Now this is a track event I’d pay money to watch.

Hobbes has all the advantages, height, weight, speed

Most of the time, the trip is where the fun is found

The real competition is to see who’s the biggest cheater!

As my dad used to say, “getting there is half the fun…”

This reminds me of racing my granddaughter. She is five and loves to race. She even gets down into the sprinter’s start. I will let her get ahead and then catch up to just behind her. She grabs at my shorts to try and slow me down or just holds her arm out to stop me from passing her.

Yes, best race ever.

Nothing like a good Calvin Race.

Reminds me of the mascot race at a Peoria Chiefs game.

I love their games.

It’s the journey, never the destination.

Love the metaphor. This entertains on so many levels, especially when you consider that Calvin is racing himself—his alter-ego.
