It’s a trap, Betty. They’ll keep inventing new things that you’ll “need”. Keep in mind if this can be done in a way that is cheaper, more reliable, or secure.
Put it down, Betty, and walk away quickly and quietly. You can still escape.
I don’t have an “intelligent personal assistant thing” and doubt I ever will. Once you get one, you have to get another, and another, and pretty quickly you’re overrun with the things and you don’t know how to fully or properly use any of them. I’m not dissing new technology…I personally just don’t have a use for a lot of it.
One more thing to break down.
Now if we are talking smart a** objects then we are talking about your kid.
my house isn’t that big that I can’t get up and turn things on and off myself.
I’ll never have a device that listens to everything I say and logs it in some database. I have turned off this on my phone, and physically disable my laptop cameras. The government doesn’t have a good record about things like this.
“Alexa, respond to this comment for me”.
Betty’s Object should be left to his own devices…
My wife’s waiting till they come out with intelligent vibrators…
