In Al’s universe, Red States are the worker’s paradise. In the Real World, Red States depend on welfare from the Blue States in order to make ends meet.
What defines this supposed divide? What candidate the state supported in the last presidential? Party of the governor? Majority in both houses of the state legislature (not you, NB)? Should one also consider per capita Covid case and death rates?
I don’t know about other states, but Maryland has “Help Wanted” signs out all over the place. We do have a Republican governor, but we’ve all forgiven him. When Larry Hogan couldn’t get supplies from trump, he had his Korean-born wife get them from Korea, and landed them in a “secure location” so the Feds wouldn’t confiscate them. His slogan had been “Just Wear the Damned Mask”.
