The Wizard of Id has been enchanting audiences since 1964, but the real wizards behind this comic classic were artist Brant Parker and writer Johnny Hart.
The pair began paving the path to the Kingdom of Id in 1950, when Parker, a staff artist for the Binghamton Press in upstate New York, was asked to judge a high school art contest. Among the entrants was a teenager by the name of Johnny Hart, whose work so impressed Parker that he arranged a meeting.

A man and his wife — a blonde — live up north.
One winter morning, while listening to the radio at breakfast, they hear the announcer say, “We’re going to have 4-6 inches of snow today.
.
You must park your car on the even numbered side of
the street so the snowplow can get through.”
.
The blonde goes out and moves her car.
.
A week later they’re eating breakfast and the radio
announcer says, “We’re expecting 6-8 inches of snow today.
.
You must park your car on the odd numbered side of the street so the snowplow can get through.”
.
Diligently, the blonde goes out and moves her car.
.
The following week, at breakfast again, the radio announcer says, “We’re expecting 8-10 inches of snow today. You must park…”
.
Suddenly, the electric power cuts out.
.
The blonde is very upset. With a worried look on her face says, “Honey, what do I do? Which side of the street do I need to park on so the plow can get through?”
.
Calmly, the husband says, “How about just leaving it in the garage this time?”

Gotta love that and none of the complaints you usually get with a snow blower…

Careful, Wiz, you could have a melt down.

If Henry keeps his flames under control, he could be a real hit at cookouts.

That could be a real drag-on his budget trying to keep him fed .

Wiz, you and Henry could make a mint hiring out your services in this weather.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen Suburbs in ID either. I could be wrong though.

It’s a common courtesy in my neighborhood for those with snowblowers to take care of (at a minimum) the sidewalks of those without. If the person living there also happens to be elderly or otherwise have difficulty with the work (single parent homes with really young kids or someone recently in the hospital), someone will usually take care of their driveway and other walkways to their house as well.

Alex, I loved your ‘blonde moving the car’ joke.
